Norwegian Kindergarten

Children must be 5 years of age by the end of December Currently, the class size is 18 children. Various topics are taught throughout the year. Some of these topics that have been explored in the past are Vikings, Space, Pirates, Dinosaurs, Insects, and Myself etc.

The class is taught in Norwegian and is suitable for Norwegian children or children who speak other languages and who wish to learn Norwegian.

We provide a happy and secure environment where children are well prepared for Norwegian school or for the international school system.
We encourage children to be inquisitive about their surroundings and we hope to promote an interest in all living things.
Free play is the time when the children can choose their own activity and either take part in a group activity or play by themselves.
During circle time the register is taken and the children take turns counting the class, finding out what day it is, discussing the weather and topical issues. We talk about letters and numbers often using games or rhymes. Other activities may include reading a book or poem, singing and informing the children of the plans for the day.
